Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

Nicole woke before we did and had alraedy discovered the empty egg shells on the incubator top and the BOBs. There were 5 when we moved them to the brooder tote.

yes, Nicole has seen many chicks hatch, including her BOBs. She still gets excited when her's hatch. Hey! I still get excited when mine hatch!

With 5 kids, we get eggs gathered very often around here in the summer.

We have two hens setting. One Blue Orpington LF with BOB and Black Wyandotte Bantam eggs and a Buff Wyandotte Bantam hen with Buff Wyandotte Bantam eggs.

Nicole is now out gathering her eggs (and hopefully mine).
Jim,
I put 1 egg under a broody pullet I could not break up. In this hot weather she hatched her chick in 19 days! Those eggs are incubating without benefit of extra heat in these temps! At 106 temps, you'd better get those eggs inside quickly, or they'll cook.

I love splashes too. You do not see many posted. I am using a Bamma Splash with my main Black cock. And only get Blues for now. But someday I will go Blue to Blue.
Here are a few more of my Buff pullet in her pen with her Bro's and a Black I hatched out from Feb

She has the full breast I like that she got from her mom.

Butt shot showing a decent "V" tail.

Here is a younger sis who has the head and the body, she never likes to keep her tail up. So I will have to wait a few more months to see how well she turns out. She is a tuff one to take a pic of. Always on the go
