I'm looking to get a new Orpington roo for my free range flock and was wondering which color I should? Anybody have pics of some ones that are generally easier to find. I've had them before but sold them and kept a cochin. I've got a buff and white Orp hen left. Any suggestions on a color?

I have been growing out a few cockerels and a handful of pullets this season. Here is a photo of Sergeant Frost. He just turned 5 months old. He is as big as a 5 gallon bucket yet runs away from all the seasoned hens.

Thought I would share a picture taken the other day. I think after almost a year my boy is finally finished molting. Now he is just wishing someone would turn on the AC!!!

Thank You Chris and Braclin. I will have to try and get some close ups. I love to see the close ups of chickens. I do love my Splash, she is a big girl. the three in the pic are 5 months old. hope they start laying soon.

Thanks! I'm just hoping he stays this way and makes it thru fall show season. Only got to bring him out to one spring show and even then he was still molting.
