sure you can post links to articles, and lots of things..but byc has a page of bylaws like you cant promote other websites..its a good idea to read it throu, i had a really hard time even finding it..but it explains everything.its pretty long but worth checkng it out..

You can. I get banned when I do. Just like when I got warned for saying"west coast Orp breeder". I was accused of saying a banned member's name, which is also breaking the rules. BUT, since you are a west coast orp breeder they can't use that one on me anymore. Even though the same member who I was accused of mentioning the name of was mentioned twice yesterday on this thread. lolololol

Oh wow. Ok- How in the world would we be able to keep track of banned members. I am new to the thread so how would I know not to mention someone? That seems pretty elaborate?

You can not promote "similar" forums.

The rules are located at the bottom of any page, labeled TOS. There is no list of banned members available on the forum. The names of banned members do come up at times, as in, my XXX line of chickens, or my chickens came from (or is descended from) XXX's farm. You cannot advertise for or link to a seller on the forum, with the exception of having your own personal website in your signature line if you are a Platinum Poultry member, or of course, your ad in the Buy Sell Trade forum.

It is sometimes appropriate to link directly to a post on another forum about a relevant subject that is under discussion, but you cannot link to another forum in the sense of promoting that forum. If you have a question about posting something, you can always PM a Staff member and ask. A list of us is linked in the BYC Website and Forum Feedback section, in a sticky labeled Required and Suggested Reading.
