A chick that size, you can tell by looking at the saddle feathers. If they are pointed, it's a male. Round like the end of you finger, female.nope!, it's looking like a boy one day then female the next!!

Feathers in front of tail. You know on a grown male, the feathers that goes down on each side of tail, they are pointed, female shorter feathers and the end of feather will be round like the end of finger. Look straight down on the back, better, if you take a picture, up close and I can tell.what are the "saddle feathers"?
