Probablies not, she isn't the one who "feeds" them, the care take does. It's so annoying they are lovley hens and all are tame!, im so taking the eggs when they lay again, they don't deserve them if they don't feed them and they don't even check they have water over the week end!!

That is quite a good idea! , Im going to feel sorry for one if she goes broody, she will struggle to survive being broody and she would struggle to feed her chicks so once again i would have to step in.

maybe you could just ask for some hatching eggs John..awfully nice birdies..i do feel bad for them thou.they wouldnt last long where i live, weasles, racoons, dogs, coyotes hawks..

You are right Lildinkem, it just seems that sparing them from a frightening demise is the humane thing to do. But, I guess even under the circumstance that they are in, it still wouldn't be right. I have rescued animals all my life, will always do so, but would never if I didn't have permission. It's hard though not to "wish them" to a better place with food, water, and protection though.

she wouldn't give me any, i just take them. she dosen't even like me and to be honest the feeling is very mutrol (i know that isn't the right spelling but i really can not think of the right spelling!)
