Well not in this economy at least. I am still planing on selling my cuckoo chicks to pay for feed, they seem to be a hard to find color so they go for a heftier price. I paid well enough for them. Chicks are around $16 a piece. Plus they are stunning to look atAPA most likely will not get enough folks raising any of these varieties long enough (5 years) to have a qualifying meet. Even then there will have to be improvements on those birds to be considered to qualify as an APA orp. And lets not forget the money needed to have a qualifying meet.

I did get the info I needed though. Go to see that nice buff hen that was there vs the ... not so nice one next to it. Most of my hens are inbetween to close to the better example. The color is a little more dull on mine though. Maybe its the lighting, not sure.
