Ugh. I wish I had read this thread before I made my order of silkies. I was hoping for bearded and fluffy. Doesn't look like that's what I'll be getting. Luckily, I got other breeds too

Cackle has better quality silkies from my experience.

I ordered 12 Pullets from Ideal and they sent 6 packing peanuts that I think may be production reds. 6 Ameraucanas, 2 Buff Orpingtons, 2 Black Australorps, 2 Barred Rocks They are 8.5 weeks old in these pictures. My solid white 'Ameraucana' here she is less than a week old Here they are two days old, when I got them in the mail.

Love the chickies!! So cute! And I love the inside of ur coop!....But just to let you know... Ideal's "packing peanuts" are most likely roosters. They put the roosters in there for extra warmth during shipment...I def wish they gave away free packing peanut pullets tho... That would be nice..
