I replied at the other thread, but I also wanted to add that I also have heard many great things about Ideal's Buff Orpingtons going broody, I have one on day 18 now, and like I said she is only 9 months old. I also have a self blue OEGB that's even younger who has gone broody too.

I'm in KY too. My birds have shipped fine. The first time I only lost one chick, and the second time they shipped great through all the flooding about 6 months back - I never lost one of these babes.
