Post pics of walk-in run covered in hardware cloth

Here is a winter shot of my run and coop. THe bottom of the run has plastic stapled to it to keep some snow out. I can walk into my roofed run on one part to get to coop, food, water, give treats etc. This half is 8 ft. by 10 ft.. The other half is 3 foot tall and is 8 ft.x 8 ft. I used metal pole barn steel for the roofing. Screwed with washers to hold 1x2 wire fence in place. THere are many nice looking runs in this post already!

This is our coop when it had just been built, I can't believe how green everything looks. New England springs are just grey...

I used black pvc coated hardware cloth in part because I think it looks better, as our pens are right next to the pool area. Check my BYC page for pictures. You can do a lot with landscaping, too. A friend of mine has chicken-safe vines growing up the side and over the top of his pen. Looks beautiful, and it provides much needed shade, too!

I wouldn't use anything else, hardware cloth is the way to go.
In N.H.,Tony. Here's a pic from last winter ,same pens.Wish it looked like this this winter.

That really is the ultimate compliment to pay anyone here who designed their own coop...please take whatever ideas you can find here, and make them even better!

Chieftain--I've watched your coop development with great interest--I like how it turned out.

will hunt for food-your place looks like Fort Knox. Thanks for the pics.

Thanks to everyone for their help!
