NC. We still have power thankfully

I used to live in NC but i moved 2 1/2 years ago otherwise my username would be chicks in NC,we got sleet over night so half the time you can walk on top of the snow/ice

hi folks just went and got some pictures of the cockerels and pullets

they don't live in this cage they live in a bigger area but needed to get pictures and this just made it easier. They are ten weeks old ish and like to bite me l,i sold most of my pullets but still have some

what state and do you still have power we lost power, but we have a generator it keeps it nice in the house.

ThinmintThechicken,how many birds do you have and how much feed do you go through a week.

Ohio. We probably have around 60-70 (maybe more) birds including guineas, ducks, geese, and two turkeys. I think we go through a feed bag and a half a week.

Thank you! This isn't all of our chickens. We have way more including 12 chickens inside our barn that won't get out. They fly through the stalls and INSIST on being inside the barn. Thin Mint also lives inside the barn so I can give her special care. Some I just can't get a picture of them because they do NOT like being around humans as much.

Do you have another picture of Duckie? His coloring is pretty unique, considering that mottling is recessive and the gene is very rare in silkies!

As for the green queens, they actually are mixed with faverolles, which is why you’re seeing those traits.

I know, thats a main reason why we got the green queens. Salmon faverolles are really nice birds! I don't have another picture of Duckie yet but I will make sure to get one. Duckie has a twin named Doughnut with the same mottling.

you're welcome thinmint

just put up my chickens and there all happy and healthy just a bit cold,
anybody is welcome here and you can feel free to ask questions someone will probably answer you; I honestly want this thread to go big and be on the topic of the week
not trying to sound greedy but that's my hope
