We got our baby chicks yesterday. My son Aidan and I drove up to Elizabeth, Colorado to get 6 Australorp chicks. It was a pretty tough drive due to the previous night's snow and thick fog most of the way up there. On the way back we had the heat on max trying to keep the little girls warm but they did ok and seem to be thriving in their new home. Now the race is on to complete the coop when we have good weather!

Here's my Silver Gray Dorking crosses. About a month old now.
Hey, saellis, my 16 year old is named Aidan too! I may have started a trend in Ontario, Canada. Seems to have spread. I hear the name a lot from moms with their small boys. I thought when I named him, he'd be one of the few. Who knew? Cute kid too, your boy!
