Mathilde (thought to be a girl once) the bantam mix rooster that came to live here because he was too loud. and I didn't have anyone crowing yet. He'll get to live until the other boys grow up.

"Dirty Harry"

Here's a poor photo of our Dirty Harry aged 16weeks the day we picked him up and his first day in his new home.

The lil fella was trying to crow and the noise was akin to a car with a flat battery being wound over and over. The other half suggested jump starting him a number of times.

He's now aged 19weeks, has nailed the perfect deep long crowing we were hoping for and is starting to look less like a gangly teen and more like the fine man he will become. I will try and get a better pic to post this afternoon as he is still camera shy unlike my ladies.

"Mrs Murphy"
I know she isn't a rooster but I had to share this pic of her asking me why I was in her yard without bringing her food and what is that thing your pointing at us.

The guardian of my ladies:

I'm impressed at how tall his comb got, compared to his "brother"

Mean rooster (no longer with us)

my birds move too fast for my camera when they are out free ranging, so fence pictures are the best that I get
