Post pics of your horses

Bring a trailer. You can have TWO.

I am going to pick up my 2 new horses in South Arkansas in the next two weeks...if you really really want to give away 2 horses.....

As soon as I get my camera from my DD, I'll post a pick of my 3 yo grulla mare. They are such neat colored horses. Her striping is really coming out on her legs. We think she is a quarter horse/Arabian cross. Her face is so delicate and has the beautiful arched neck like an Arabian.

The two we are picking up are a Thoroughbred/Quarter horse mix gelding that is 17.2 hands (DH is tall and wants a big horse) and a palomino pony mare about 14 hands. The boys are sooo excited!

I have WAY TOO MANY horses... and here they all are!!

From left to right: Faustus (resuce from my work, was going to be put down because owners couldn't pay for his vet bill caused by HUGE proud flesh wound on his leg, he's healed and now gaining weight) Next is Gucci, he's my old jumping horse, got him for free off the track, he was also a mess, now he looks stunning! Next is Luchesse, my new jumping horse, this horse can jump anything you point him at, foxhunt like you can't believe and he's blind in one eye!!

This is my teaser pony Sh*tbox, he's a pintaloosa and is great for kids and teasing.

It's so cool seeing pics of everyone's horses!

Here's 2 of my girls. I have 4 mares, but I just don't have a lot of horse photos on photobucket...

This is Whinnie (AKA, Turn the Page), my Trakehner/Thoroughbred cross mare. This is a badly scanned pic

and I totally cut off the top of my head.

This was taken a few years ago...maybe 3 years ago? Whinnie would've been about 7...She's 10 now. I show hunters. This was at an "A" show, in the adult amateurs, but I haven't shown at an A show since the year this photo was taken. We have shown at local "C" rated stuff a bit the past few years.

This is Whinnie again, trying to be a dressage horse.

I think she did a better job pulling it off than I did.

I'm nearly 7 months pregnant in these pictures--which was the reason we were working with a dressage trainer--I stopped jumping while I was pregnant. I took the opportunity to do some real flat work. It was really good for us both!

And here's Abby (AKA, Abbey Road). She's 4, this was a pic of her as a 2-year old. She was, um, an "impulse buy".
gig.gif
She was a yearling being boarded at a barn I worked at, and one day her owner suddenly sold her and her mother to the local "horse trader".

I knew she was going to end up at an auction god-knows-where, so I called him up and made him an offer. She came home with me the next day! She's super sweet, though I have no idea what I'm going to do with her. Her breeding isn't exactly conducive to any disicipline that I ride (I think just for fun I'm going to start another thread and ask people to guess what Abbey is!
lol.png
Y'all will never believe me). I was pregnant last year when I would've liked to start her under saddle. Here's hoping this year we'll get that done!
