Post Pics of your Leghorns

so..My leghorns have yet to lay eggs, and they are 18 weeks. They have been sitting on the nests where the other chickenshave been laying for about 2 hours now. I collected the others eggs already. could they be going broody at 18 weeks? or getting ready to lay? we have 2 nests.

shes sitting on the nest in the back...got photobombed.

I have 2 White Leghorns, and one of them surprised me with a JUMBO egg today! It won't even fit in my egg carton!! The other white eggs are from my leghorns, and the brown is from my Jersey Giant.. not sure how she managed to produce that baby, but it's massive! I had to put it on my fridge door because I can't close the carton with it in there! Both girls lay every single day without missing a beat.

Could be a double yoker! They are know for those.

Is she making a lot of noise. Mine are very vocal when they are starting to lay.

now we have 2 leghorns who are laying every day for me. Their first egg was 2 days ago and have been laying ever since. They wait until everyone is out of the coop and one will lay in the coop the other will lay in the rabbit hutch after my RSL finishes up laying her in there. They are very small. weighing 1.5 ounces! But I am excited that they started laying, we ave 1 who is 2 weeks younger than the others so dont plan on her laying for another 2 weeks at least.

One of my leghorns finally laid a big egg. She laid this xlarge egg. 2.2 ounces. her normal egg is on the left, 1.5 ounces. explains why she was extra grouchy this morning lol

Look what I found this morning. I didn't expect Sunny to lay for another week or so, she's 2 weeks younger than the other two leghorns. Foghorn (left) teaching Sunny (right) to lay her egg in the Rabbit hutch... then not in the picture is Omelet singing the egg song waiting her turn. Now mind you the rabbit hutch isn't where I want them laying BUT at least I know where they are laying. Omelet gave up and in the coop laying her egg.

The smallest egg ive ever seen from a chicken lol.
