I'm having a problem with my 17wk old pitbull puppy and she is losing a lot of hair now she is breaking out I'm bumps allover her body I've changed her food from pedigree puppy Chow 2 Purina Puppy Chow also give her a bath with an anti-parasitic shampoo and give her Benadryl this has happened in 18days any suggestions plz[/URL]
Poor girl...I have a dog that periodically will develop small bumps that progresses to the hair falling out in clumps. I also initially thought it might be a food allergy, but vets diagnosed it as a staph infection and it takes antibiotics (sometimes up to 60 days' worth) to fully resolve. I'd suggest you have her skin issue checked out by a vet, if possible.
