BUT I DOUBT I WILL EVER BE AS GOOD AT PHOTOGRAPHY AS PEEWEE... SHE JUST HAS A GIFT WITH IT.

She definitely does. I've had enough photography training to recognize good work. My specialty is landscapes. My photography instructors way back caught onto my knack in that area almost immediately. I do okay with animal shots, but it has never been my best area - my reaction time is a millisecond to slow, I think. Plus, my current camera responds too slowly to get great animal shots.

Peewee, would you mind sharing what make / model camera you are using? Not that I'll ever take quail pics like those (and not like a new camera is in the budget right now, ROFL)

Thank you guys. I did take a few years of photography in college and I absolutely loved it. Thank God for the digital camera. But I will say that not all of my pics. are good shots. I only show the ones that pass muster. It is not uncommon for me to spend a couple of hours out in the quail pen taking hundreds of pics. Kinda have captive subjects and all. Then there is the light. I am also dependent on if the quail are cooperating or not. You will not believe how many times I have gone out to take pics. and the little brats turn their backs on me.

Rozzie, I am using a Kodak DX4530. I am hoping that Santa is going to bring me a Cannon Rebel this year.

. I had one of those film cameras that I used for years and now I really would like a digital one.
