[Phoenix Farms]

yeah i know how that one works i gotta separate my roosters from my girls they just started laying a couple of hours ago so its been a big day for me and my girlfriend

Oh cool! I had my first Phoenix egg last Wednesday. Only one hen is laying so far and I've gotten five since last Wednesday. I'm planning on letting her go broody and hatch a bunch of chicks.

The little stripey guy in this pic is Chippy, my husbands Ameraucana. Named after the obviously chipmunk-like stipes.


Jessica in a deep slumber. The doorbell rang and my dog barked to the high heavens before she decided to open an eye and finally roll over.

Cocoa is turning out to be an excellent mom to the babies. We were suprised!This is Cocoa my 3 week old GLW. We had a 3 week old Light Brahma as well, but she passed away.


This is Jessica My 5 day old Orpington Baby. *I know a mother should never pick favorites, but this is my little jewel*
Story behind the name: When I saw her she immediately reminded me of the all the sterotypical chicks you see on easter commercials. So I thought about naming her Bunny or Rabbit...which made me think of Jessica Rabbit. And so it stayed.

hey Nelson, HOW ON EARTH do those chicken feet stay clean!!!!?? I can't even keep Whitey clean, she's always like half brown & dirty lol, thats why I want black chickens! lol, yours look so clean!
