Ugh. I'm ready for some eggs!!!

I know I should be patient, but I'll just keep hoping...

I don't put too much stock in combs and I'll tell you why. My Lilith was at the bottom of a pile up at 10 weeks old. She almost died. Her comb, which was already pretty big for a 10 week old pullet, turned red that night and has stayed that way. Lilith is not a great layer.
Lil'Bit, on the other hand, has never had much of a comb. It's pretty much the same size and approx. color it was when she was four months old. She's a daily layer.
