Why? I'm chinese, and I don't really like it. My mom is ALWAYS telling me to speak chinese and practice writing chinese, and stuff. It's a VERY hard language to learn, and since I came to the US when I was four, I don't remember much of it
Well, I can speak it ok, but I'm pretty bad at writing stuff.

A lot of people wouldn't mind being in your shoes, you know.

Easier to learn than French, huh?
I was so young when I started learning French, I don't even remember when I did, it still may be a second language for me, but it feels as if I learned the both at the same time, so I couldn't say. But I would like to be able to learn Chinese one day .

That's a bit like me. I actually think English was my second language, but as I started learning it when I turned four, it soon became my mother tongue as everyone was speaking it around me. Now I can barely remember any of my parents' language.
