I've FINALLY worked out an official "goals" scheme.

I round your post count to the nearest hundred and then for:

>10,000 = +500
2000 - 10000 = +400
250 - 2000 = +300
<250 = +200

So you started on the <250 post category, so I rounded you up to the nearest 100 and added 200 to make your goal.
