I found this in a nesting box several days ago. Looks like 'lash' but also looks just like an ovary to me! The next day I noticed one of my white Americauna hens sickly and she had a mild prolapse so I treated that daily but she was dead this morning.

WOW! I have definitely never seen that before! It almost looks like the egg is rotten... did it smell like it was rotting?
