My husband's uncle surprised me today with 6 Australorps chicks! My little boy and me were thrilled but I had to scramble to put together a temporary brooder! What a great May 1st!

They are SO cute. I have read to shred newspaper or use shavings. Newspaper can be slick and can cause splayed legs. Enjoy!

My hen hatched out two silkie bantam chicks I don't know what colour they are but they are adorable I also bought two white silkie bantam growers and there are more chicks to be here soon! I haven't got names for the two growers yet any suggestions well come :
