Yes, look on Freecycle or Craigslist, and search for dog crates, etc.

Oh wow that's awesome! That looks like a great set up!! Perhaps then, since you have experience with building, you could find some pallets and/or scrap wood and throw something together? Here there's a lot of stores and tons of pallets and theyre all free, though some places further away charge a couple bucks. I usually go for the free ones. I saw one video where they took one, screwed a piece of plywood to it for the base, then built on top of it. I think they added siding too to make it look nicer but I've seen plenty without it that look fine. You can use them as is or tear them apart and build with them or both. They're great. We snagged a couple to use but then decided on something else. We're now going to build something in spring

No problem!! And good luck hunting! I've mostly seen people use wooden ones on here but I'm sure plastic ones could be made to work or maybe ask them to give you them instead of recycling them!

Haha oh boy!! If you do just make sure you get the cutest ones possible so he can't say no or ones similar looking to the ones you have so he can be like "i thought we only had one of those?" And then you can be like oh no we always had 2. I think your memorys going, honey"

That's the idea but I might of just talked him into a second hatch. We won't reach our desired pulley count with these so I'll spare 1 mature rooster from the culling this week and toss a few ladies in with him.
