I built this coop at the end of last summer, needed something quick to move them from the brooder.
I used mostly scraps I had on hand. I'm going to make the run bigger this summer, so I can walk into it.

I'm a 37 year old mother of 3 and I built it myself... At least it's very sturdy and predator proof, although not very attractive...

I think it's beautiful. Especially the two tone stripes. As a fellow mother of three I KNOW how hard it is to have time to make something.

Yellowjacket, do you have any pics of the intside and/or sketches? This might work really good for what I have in mind...I'll have 4 laying hens when all is said and done...too big, too small?? Thanks for any reply!

I convinced my sister to let my nephew get chickens!!! He is 8 and just loves animals. He loves to help or even talk about my chickens. They have an old chicken coop in their backyard that we are going to redo come spring! We are both so excited!
