In general for mature, healthy and cold tolerant breeds cold is not an issue as long at he coop is properly ventilated... There are exceptions to the rule but it's best to not try and trap the warm air in a coop, best to maintain constant ventilation regardless of the temp as long as the ventilation is draft free...

There is windows in front, rear and side. There's also a exhaust fan that kicks on when temperatures get too hot.

Windows are great, but they have to be closed during stormy weather. Venting needs to be 24/7, year round.

I presume it gets down below freezing in Wichita in the winter. Too little ventilation means the humidity can't escape and you risk frostbite on the birds. And too tight a coop means the ammonia from the birds' poop also can't escape which is bad for them, potentially fatal if the concentration gets too high. They wear their feather coats 365 days a year and are well adapted to cold. My birds have no heat other than what they generate internally and see -20F on some winter days.

NOTHING wrong with that as long as it isn't blowing over the birds while they are on the roost. Hard to keep your feather coat properly puffed up with wind blowing through it.

You have to keep in mind, windows must be closed to keep rain out. Rain blowing on them is a good way to kill your flock, or at least make them sick. When you close the windows to keep out weather, there goes all your ventilation. Venting needs to be something that is constant, in all weathers.
