post your chicken coop pictures here!

To this which is currently in progress......repurposed from where we had had an above ground pool and deck but tore down the pool and used part of the shell for the roof of new coop you can see off ground on remaining deck portion. I should be able to add more pictures as we progress. Fiancee was working on siding being put up today. We have also have completely enclosed this area with wire fencing which was not the case when this picture was taken but just to give everyone an idea where we are headed.
Wow, that will be a super nice setup for the chickens.

Finally got all the bugs worked out of mine. Conglomeration of ideas.

Slowly getting coop siding up now since last picture and it is completely fenced in with wire though hard to tell from distance. We also have a door into the run portion you cannot really see under what looks like a small platform to the right. You can see we still need to dispose of pool scraps that are lying about but little by little we will clean it up and we plan on painting it and sprucing it up a bit once construction is complete.

Update:
We are going from this setup.......

Wow. This could be something amazing. Can't wait to see what you do with it.

This is so close to what I want my finished run to look like. Only covered, and with a big tree in the middle!

Great run!

You would grow to hate the tree. The twigs and leaves will drive you batty. Getting them off the top of a covered run is not easy. I have had to have a couple cut that shaded the run too much. Better to use a cover on part of it for shade.

You won't really need a big tree in the middle (unless of course you have your heart set on it) but we found a Dwarf Meyer Lemon is just as useful for the chickens to use as shade or hide under to snooze plus they don't eat the tree leaves and you'll get lemons from it and it won't grow out of control. We prune our dwarf back once a year and its size stays manageable. We have a small backyard so space is at a premium for us.
