post your chicken coop pictures here!

Finally got them in there. I have a few more things to finish up with their roost and stuff. But I had to get them out of the tractor that was supposed to be very temporary. Its tough building something that big all by yourself. Do you know how hard it is to level a 10' long board?

Oh I sooo love this coop.... everything about it.... fits my climate as well

Thanks the coop was a dog kennel and I had it cleaned it all and build new roof and floor and stuff in side and then build the fence found it but got 1 that keeps jumping and flapping his wings and getting to top of fence any way I can stop this do you think

I figured that was why the boards were not trimmed on one end. just be aware serious predators can go right through chicken wire... sigh... when you can afford it invest in some hardware cloth. Dogs, raccoons can just bite the wire and make a hole... once a hole is made they are through.

just a heads up.

yeah, I plan on running some 2x4 welded wire on the inside of the 4x4 post so there will be a 3.5 gap between the chicken wire and the welded wire. Its in my back yard that's privacy fenced in except for the back that's 5" chain link. My dogs know fairly well to leave it alone. I have also considered running 2x4's or 2x6's around the bottom, between the bottom and middle boards. leaving 2-4" gaps between them.

you could clip his wings so he cant fly, or build some sort of cover over it, I used some plastic mesh designed to keep deer and birds out gardens over the top of mine to keep birds out
