post your chicken coop pictures here!

Is there any way to make more space in your coop? I only have an 8x8 so I put my nesting buckets under the roost table. I also need more roost space so I'm going to build another table roost and put the food and water under it.

I see some real nice coops and cool ideas. I am still in the planning phase for my coop and am getting some great ideas here. Thank y'all.

This is the Coop that I am having built It has two windows on the other side. The chicken door is on the other end. The small door above the nests is for ventilation. The roof is insulated. The interior has two roost poles that are 7 feet plus. The over all coop is 6'x8'. The material is yellow pine, stained and water sealed. I am adding a step or platform for easy entry. The coop is elevated on skids but very heavy so don't know if we could ever move it. I am so excited. 2-3 weeks expected finished product.

'Casa Del Chookie' comprises chateau, dirt spa and day spa (covered run). Home to 3 x pampered bantams.

I am trying to figure out what to do for a chicken run with my new coop. I was thinking of buying a dog run and putting the coop in that and adding a roof to the run. But after measuring my coop I think it would take up most of the run. So I was thinking having the coop on the outside, with a door into the run, still adding a roof on the run. It seams kind of complicated though. It is a chain link dog run. Will chain link keep coons, skunks, and foxes out? Or can they chew through that too? Here is a link to Home Depot for the run I was thinking of. If you look at the reviews there is someone who turned it into a chicken run (with a picture). I guess my questions would be, how do I cut a whole in the chain link so I can have a place for a door to the chicken coop, and how do I attach the chain link to the coop so predators don't squeeze through?

As a reminder, this is my coop (before I fix it up)

In my experience I would not use chainlink fencing, what I use is the chainlink dog kennel panels 10x10x6,that way you can just add more panels to enlarge when needed, then we took goat fencing and covered the top of kennel, last longer, then we take ckn wire n run along inside bottom f for extra safety n security.wish u best of luck!

The dog kennel works great for me with the roof and sand no mess no smell love it. I put hard wear cloth around the bottom and 2x4 wire everywhere else.

Wow! Some of these chicken houses are fantastic! Nothing like what we currently have. I'm currently in DIY mode here at home and after making a sofa the next step is rebuilding the chicken house so they stop being attacked by water rats

Hopefully I can share photos in the months to come :)
