post your chicken coop pictures here!

They have a place in there run for them to dust bath in they have a compost box they love to dig in they have over two acres of woods to roam in and they have two acres of yard to play in and we have lots of beds so that would really just ring up the cost that I don't have right now. They go start for the mulch and the beds as soon as u open there door

Now that we actually have something that will soon be an actual chicken coop I guess it's ok to post a few pics in this thread.

Oh wow, that's so weird! I can see wht you wouldnt want to use wire then. That's kind of like mine, almost 3 acres, about half is the yard, yet they tend to stay in the backyard or go to the neighbors lol plenty of woods to choose from but noooo, near the neighbors (and their dog) is most appealing

Wow that's really nice are they going to be free ranged or are u building a run on for them if u don't want to build a run I highly reccomend buying used dog kennels putting them together and set it up on little red bricks makes the best run I have ever had my chickens in

Thanks. It's been a fun build. I'm building a 8x8x20 run along the backside of the garden. There are a couple of other families that free range their birds in our neighborhood but I want to keep ours in the run.

Ya I feel u my neighbors do that to so I know we're one of my chickens disappears to they live just about a 2 minute walk away but they travel through the woods and over they go I just brought my turkey back yesterday

Last shot of run in progress

Deer wire i got at lowes. Dont know if deer eat chickens but this will keep them out :) Decided on this since the chicken wire is 6' so i can use the same nailers for both. Deer wire is going on over the chicken wire at the bottom.

Next phase, throw the wire on. Should be fun with the overhang :) Probably cut holes for the rafters to keep it neat.
