I *had* to give you a hard time about that...the bucket truck and then the cnc. You're blessed to have a business that you can enjoy, too! You're doing great with your chicken...barn. It's a utilitarian piece of art! Over the top? No way!!!!!The machine is my real job for the business I run it is not for hobby use but I do make stuff for myself occasionally same as the saws and most of the other equipment I have..
I run Aspire design software by Vectric the machine is ran by WinCNC control software. I can do wood but I usually work in aluminum and plastic making parts for the sport fishing industry. In the fall of the year business slows down and I can do other projects but I have been forcing as much time as possible for my coop project right now. The machine is a 10 tool changer model.
I have had a lot of people I know tell me I am over the top on my coop build when they see it but that is how I roll. I quit calling it a coop and started calling it my poultry barn LOL. When people ask what I have been up to and I tell them I am building a chicken coop then show them a picture on my phone I get a lot of are you serious type comments. I like it and that is what matters.

I love that!
Very nice
Thanks! We worked from the ground up off of a random concrete pad that was in our yard when we bought our house. My husband did all of the cutting, but I am pretty good with a measuring tape and paint, and don't mind hauling lumber around. Took us about 6 weeks of weekends and evenings after work, but this is so much better than the prefab that the feed store guys swore was big enough for 4 chicks. They've got 88 sq ft of run and 32 of coop plus the nesting boxes. They seem much happier, and it looks nice and matches the colors on our house, so I'm happier too![]()
