A good Haiku can get you through almost any "I AM SO ANGRY I MIGHT GO TO JAIL!" situation.

The neighbor's turkey,
"Mom! There's a giant chicken!"
Spreading germs? Nope! Soup.

On the hot windy afternoon
The chicks they came all too soon
newspaper, hay, pine, shavings and fluff
although they were cute, they grew so tough
the first few nights out in the cold
alas, i knew they were growing old
my chicky babies so tiny and cute
finaly were squawking, with no dispute
out in the night all of the four
were crowded and crying at the door
they wanted to come in, so very bad
the very sight made me sad
one day all nestled in the hay
one of my chickens neatly lay
during the day when i came near
i saw the egg so very dear
right in the middle of the orderly nest
to them, im sure, it was no test
then one day i let them out
out of the gate i swear i heard them shout
yay at last were free were free!
like they were going on a shopping spree
all day long they munched and munched
on all of the the stems with a crunch
now this right now as i speak
they are nestled on the roost, with out a peep

(there you go!

Buttercup

Buttercup, O Buttercup, where is your rosy face?
The softly cooing voice that calms,
The walk that whispers, “Grace?”
Buttercup, O Buttercup, come back to me, I pray!
I’ve had a bower built for you,
That you may come and play.
Buttercup, O Buttercup, I wish you were not gone.
But you are in a better place,
Beloved of my own.

I wrote it after she disappeared. Later I found her - the hawk got her and then it snowed.

The Tiny Hen
There once was a hen
Who wasn't very big.
She lived in a capacious pen
Nearby a large, snorting pig.
One sunny day,
The tiny hen was tired of being small.
So she ran away...
Far, far away.
She passed through a horse stall
Over a ball
Under a wall
Around a man
Who was very tall.
She even ran through a mall
But still she hadn't found
A place where she felt tall.
After all her traveling,
The tiny hen found a tiny barn
And when she went inside
She found a thread of yarn.
She followed the yarn thread
Until she found a group of tiny chickens...
"Hello, tiny hen!" They said.
The tiny hen noticed
That all of the chickens
Roosters, hens, and baby chicks
Were just as small as her!
Her tiny new family went outside
And started pecking around for tiny ticks
Around the tiny yard
Near the tiny coop
And in the large world
Where the tiny hen
Didn't feel so tiny anymore!
