Can't you just ignore them? Please don't think I'm mean, but, if he isn't dating you, then he probably isn't the guy to be your husband in the future. If he were the right guy, he would stand up for you, no matter what, maybe with a few flaws here and there.

I try my hardest, Symph, I really do. He does stick up for me, like a time when this girl was pointing out my flaws and being mean and crap he stepped in front of me and defended me and totally told her off. She stalked away and didn't bother me after that. I thought I could see smoke coming out of her ears, she was so mad/embarassed to be stood up by the guy she likes. Maybe that's a good sign

Well, IMO, as long as it's God's will, he will come around. You working your magic won't help any, because he might start to think your dumping (even though he started it, guys are just that way) him. I'll pray for you to get the right guy.
