My best friend...HATES Peter. She tries to make me choose between him and her sometimes...she doesn't wanna be around him, or talk to him. She really mean to him, always has something not-so-nice to say about him...I just

And because of some things she said to me, I got scared and didn't let him kiss me and now, oh gall, everything is all messed up, mismatched, and backwards. She's one of the best friends I've ever had..but, but ... she can't share me.... If we're at a 4-H meeting, she wants me to be with her the entire time....and I don't get to talk to him much, he has a bazillion restrictions in his house and she practically lives on her ipod and laptop...I..I don't know what to do! Jealousy.. if jealousy were a man I would murder him. -_- I think she's been trying to give me some room here lately, but she just dislikes him more every time I see her, she said she hated him Monday night......

Hate is a strong word. I'd say she's just jealous because she thinks you are going to want to spend more time with him than with her, and she's afraid she'll get pushed in the background.

I know, that's why I was hiding under the chair. I do want to spend more time with him than her...she's convinced he's going to break my heart..she won't even give him a chance! I love hanging out with her, but every time I talk to her it seems like she just stacks up another worry/fear that something will go wrong for my brain to dwell on. If I even mention him she has something bad to say, like how stupid he is, or how boring he is, or how much she doesn't like him...*sighs*

That really sucks. One of my friends really can't stand JP, but I don't think she would go that far.

I didn't think she would either...she tried to stop it when I was only thinking about having a crush on him.

What gets me is, a while back, when she was dating this guy, she completely ignored me, and I never got mad, or jealous.

Have you tried telling her how her treatment of him makes you feel? Ask her nicely if she would at least try to like him, for your sake. If she's really your friend, she'll support you. And assure her that no matter what happens with you and Peter, you aren't going to push her away. Then make sure you keep your word.

Well, yes and no. I have a couple of times but not on everything. Pleasing everybody is just not possible! I thought she would have...and, and then she started doing all this and I'm just.....thank you, that;s good advice, I should.
