The BO (2) are a week older than the others, so I'm thinking the two lighter ones are from them and the darker one is from my RIR, whom was just last on the nest...she seems to be getting broodie too...she is all protective over the egg that is in the box this morning...but if I see another egg in there that is darker, I'll know she did it

Anyways, thanks for replying...I'm hoping to raise some BO's so I'm going to try and hatch the BO eggs out (crossing fingers)

got this one the day after my daughter was born. I kept telling my wife the hens were waiting on her to drop her "egg" first. I have had 4 total now all very small.

Here are our two first eggs. I think both our golden buffs are laying but have only caught one in the nesting box. We've been getting one to two eggs since last week. They are small but perfectly shaped.

Our first time ever owning chickens and the day after we finished the coop and picked up our five ladies we got this little gem. It weighed in at a neat little 40g. Needless to say we were all very excited. We are now up to 6 eggs in total and will be having them for breakfast on Sunday.

I have an egg!

I have had two so far, one on Wednesday and one yesterday. The producer is currently sitting in the nest box looking as if she might be contemplating giving me another. She is a 20 week old Silver Laced Cochin named NosyChicken. Here she taking a stroll around the yard.

I have had a discussion with her about instructing her flockmates in egg-laying procedures and hope to have them joining in production soon!

My Cochin's eggs have looked like bantam eggs so far. I wish my Brahma ladies would get it in gear and start laying!
