My first White Egg!!!! From my 23 week old Leghorn and it's a good size for a 1st egg too!

This is my first Ever egg i have gotten from my chickens

the pullet who laid it is 26 weeks old

The Egg is next to a brown store bought Jumbo (800grams) egg

and in my hand

It was a DOUBLE yolker!!!

Just in time for their 24 week birthday one of my chickens decided to lay an egg. And what a beautiful job she has done.

WE GOT OUR FIRST ONE ON THURSDAY.... THE DAY THEY TURNED 20 WEEKS OLD. JUST ONE HEN LAYING... I THINK WE HAVE 2 NOW.... 5 EGGS IN 4 DAYS......

NEXT TO A LARGE GROCERY STORE EGG....

Okay so on Saturday Morning about 6am there is this god awful ruckus in the chicken coop, of course thinking something is getting my chickens I jump up run out side and NOTHING is there! Go to feed the girls on Sat. and low and behold 2 of my hens stop in their tracks, flair their wings, and squat, however no EGGS. Sunday some loud vocals wouldn't call it singing, more squatting, NO Eggs. So I tell hubby it will probably another week or two. He goes to feed them on Monday, they are 24 wks, what does he find This perfect little brown egg laid in the nesting box. I am looking for 2 eggs today ( fingers crossed) can't wait until we are getting 7 chicken eggs and 3 duck eggs per day

I finally got my first egg!!! My friend gave me the hen, and she said she was already laying however she didn't lay a thing till now, and we brought her home at thanksgiving.

She layed it on the floor of the coop!

I didn't take pics of my first egg though I wish I had. They were pretty tiny. But now I'm getting all large eggs and have a picture of my first double yoker! That egg was HUGE and all I could think was poor chicken! Here's the picture of it next to one of my large eggs. (and a couple of quarters)
