YAY !got my first egg today

its a very light brown

just wish i could get the pics off my phone !

I have been waiting for MONTHS to join this thread! It is a perfect little white pullet egg. It looks brown because I took the picture with my cell phone & the nesting boxes of the henhouse are not well-lit.

We're very happy to find this yesterday, smack in the middle of the coop. YAY! Once it dried, it was blue, so we know it was one of our EE's, probably the white one, as she's been doing the squat when I go in there for the last couple of days..

I've never seen my hen squat yet she layes every fay! She is now one year old!

Winnie, my 24 week old BLRW, finally laid her first egg yesterday!

Winnie's egg on the left, my 24 week old EE Willow's egg on the right. She started laying 2 weeks ago. The others are from 2 of my older girls an EE and a SLW.

Winnie and her first egg! Now I have to teach her to lay in the nest box and not the corner of the coop.
