Got my first egg EVER today, I'm so happy! It was very small but delicious! My husband pointed out to me that there was like a seed looking thing in it!? little tiny and black...anyways, here it is!

While out feeding my girls today one of my EEs came up pecked at my had then walked over to a nest she made under the coop clucking loudly as if to say 'Look what I did!' I checked it out and found this pretty little blue egg. My first with this group of hens. My last group of girls perished due to the. Intense heat from the Wallow fire that came within a mile of my house.

We got a first egg a week ago. Took a couple days to determine it was from Tulip. It was blue. Our second layer was Lily with a pretty green egg. We now have someone laying a pinkish egg. Hubby thought it was Poppy, but we saw Daisy lay a pinkish one (larger) today. At least 3 of our 5 Easter Eggers are laying! So exciting. This is the first blue and green eggs.

Apparently I missed posting our first egg here - so a little late - but here it is.

Here is our 1st egg, laid on Thanksgiving morning by our 1st pullet, Snow White, White Leghorn, at 19 weeks of age.

Her 1st weeks' worth of eggs, then she took off a week and laid softshelled or no eggs for the next week

today and yesterday she was back to good hardshelled eggs again!

Woot! Our first egg!! Think it may be from one of the Jersey's...but not entirely sure. Hate to not give credit where credit is due, but have had our Americauna's and BSL for a week with no production. Picked up the Jersey's yesterday and voila! Egg tonight!!

These were from our 2009 chicks. These were laid within the first two days of "starting to lay" from our, then, 9 hens. They all started at the same time. Best synchronization I've ever had.
