These were found today. We've had a total of 5 this week. Our 8 birds consist of 2 blonde Americaunas, 4 New Hampshire Reds, 2 Rhode Island Reds. This is our 2nd flock, our first flock were depleted by a stray dog that also got depleted.

My Cuckoo Marans finally laid her first egg today!!! So excited! She is 24 weeks today. (Annoyed though because the Speckled Sussex I got with her isn't even close to laying yet!) She wasn't even showing any signs of being ready other than her comb and wattles. Here are 2 pictures of her egg next to my 1 year old Barred Rock's egg from this am.....

My first 2 came yesterday. I have 3 EE's; don't know which two are laying now. I've got a green egg egg layer, and a blue egg layer it would seem. The white one is from the grocery store, for comparison.

so so jealous! my girls are almost 22 weeks and 2/8 are laying, but the other six are just messing with me!

Out of 14, I have 2 that each have laid 1 each. They are all about 21 weeks. I am so ready for some serious egg laying!!

My two were exactly 22 weeks old when they layed those eggs. I'm not sure what the 3rd girl is holding out for. But no new eggs today. Now to anxiously wait through tomorrow.

Don't feel bad!! All but one of my girls have been laying for a few weeks now. The last girl FINALLY laid her first egg two days ago...and she is 26 weeks old!

This egg was laid today by my 6 mos old Welsummer. Small but beautiful dark brown egg. 3/8 girls laying for first time this week.

I am so eager to see my Americanas first eggs! Also my austrolorp and Columbian wyandotte are holding out on me! Soon, I hope......
