So in 10 days I've gotten 5 eggs, and I don't know who is laying, out of 7 pullets I have 6 that will squat? any idea when things will get more regular? Oh and that first egg, was a double yoke-r.

First egg from my girls today!! I'm so excited, our girls hatched the week of Feb 14th and all our hard work as payed off with this gorgeous egg. It's smaller than a store bought egg but otherwise perfect.

Veera, our 22 week old Finnish Alho landrace laid her very first egg!

The culprit a few weeks ago. Her wattle and comb have grown bigger and redder since the taking of the picture.

My girls have finally started laying. Two weeks ago they start squatting when I petted them and talking different. Yesterday I walked up and they all lined up and squatted together in a row. It was hilarious to see. I get home today to find three of the four had laid their first eggs, all in the same nest box when there are four nest boxes to choose from. Lol

That's a intense pink color. Is the picture true to reality? What breed are they?
