Almost lost hope but finally it happened, got my first egg yesterday. They are 23 weeks and one day.

I feel your pain. Three of mine just started laying last week at 31 weeks. They are 32ish weeks now and still waiting on one.

Today all three 5 m.o. RSL's put one in the nest box, so first time for two of them and the 3rd egg for the other.

(I guess the suggested ultimatum yesterday of "Omelet or fried chicken, girls? What'll it be?" worked)

my Blue part English Orpington Hen.... Her first egg She doesnt look EE at all but obviously is part Her Blue Dad I see now must be Half Lavender Amercauna and half English Orp.Her mother is english Orp and?

The even stranger thing is Her identical sister lay's TAN eggs!!
