A few of our girls just started laying 3 days ago. We were so estatic! We're waiting on the other 22 to start. It takes about a dozen and a half to feed my family one breakfast!

jackieo61028... Beautiful eggs!! I note in your sig it says 7 kids & a husband; no wonder it takes about 18 eggs for breakfast- according to size of eggs I suppose. Hope the other girls start laying soon

How cool! Love those green eggs! I love the way u did the pic too! Thats cool! What laid the little speckled egg? I've come to the conclusion that i need to get alot of different kinds of chickens cuz i want a basket full off all different color eggs! Right now im just getting white duck eggs, light to medium brown CX eggs and tiny little white bantam eggs...that look like candy eggs next to the others! Lol!

I just found my first shell-less and inside-less egg...basically nothing but membrane! Not sure which big bird laid it...either my CX or my duck! It looks like the ducks but she hasn't missed a day of egg laying and my CX has! Here's a pic of what I found...

I found it in their bedding...quackers has been hiding her egg in the wood chips for the last few days so i have to search thru it to find the egg! My CX skip a day or 2 from time to time and shes been known to lay huge double yolkers when she does so i don't stress her missin a day here and there! I didnt see any yolk in the bedding at all either!

I think one of my girls just started laying. I have yet to get an egg that looks like this. The shell is strong, mostly brown, and has white coating on it. It can not be wiped off. Any ideas?

Wow! Awesome lookin egg! Not sure which one laid it tho! Ive never seen one like that b4! My CX's eggs are a light brown and sometimes have dark brown speckles on em! That's super speckled tho! I like it!
