All my chickens are 5 months and 8 days old, I have 8 hens and no idea which one laid

But just so excited to finally see an egg! A lot of work goes into raising a flock before you get anything in return...worth the wait!

@Aleee44 ("do you guys have an idea when my easter egger will start? They're both the same age (6 mo, 6 days)")

I have two Easter Eggers, both are 6 mo, 4 days old today. One of them (clean-faced) started laying nice-sized mint green eggs 4 weeks ago last Saturday. The other (beard and muffs) has yet to lay though she has finally begun squatting. I guess there is as much variability in when EEs lay their first eggs as in their appearance! Wonder when everyone else's EEs started laying?

eich831, I agree that a lot of work goes into our chickens before we see an egg/s. It is very exciting to get that first egg. Proves we've done something right

Thank you Kay! I've been anticipating that it could happen any time now, but honestly wasn't expecting to see one this morning! Literally jumping up and down!

It's been a fun experience raising chickens (this is my first time) and I've learned so much! Mostly patience! They've been a joy to watch!

Most of them are a few months old, Ghost's first egg. She was my youngest layer

Brownie's first egg

Brownie's egg on left, Cupcake's egg on right

Quail's

Orpi's first is the one at the very top, the other 2 are Ghost's and Cupcake's (but those 2 aren't first eggs)

Those are all who are laying so far. Still waiting on 6 others to start!
