gorgeous egg:) good job Saturn♡

Based solely on it's green color I'm going to guess she is an Easter Egger. Unless there is some other "breed"* that lays green eggs?

*(and yes, I know EEs aren't a breed, hence the double quotes.)
what about olive eggers? I was thinking that it was possible as its a darker green. Our EE are more teal

How long will they be small.
depends on age and breed. Our girls started peewee sizes and now mainly med-large to XL but even after a month some are still small. Usually takes a few wks to get their bodies adjusted to laying until they become larger

19 weeks and 1 day old and we have our very first egg! Our Buff Orpington, "Pepper" kept coming up onto the front porch this afternoon. They typically stay wherever the sheep are out in the field during the day. She was making a purring sound and following us very closely in the yard--even when her husband (the rooster) kept calling to her. I told my 7 year old that she was acting kind of "eggy"--like she may be getting ready to start laying eggs soon. About an hour later, we found this beautiful little egg lying next to their food and water that we keep in the covered shelter in the front yard! My 7 year old was pretty excited to say the least! :D
