yaySo exciting!! We found our first EGGS yesterday - 6!! Not sure who laid them, but I think it was 2 longhorns and a barred rock. The rest are unclear.

Those look like great eggs! Love the blue one!We were out of town over the weekend, when we got back, 2 eggs were in the corner of the poop board, one was broken open, the other was cracked badly.
Today, while cleaning up the Sweet PDZ on the poop board, my RIR was yelling up a storm - I figured she must be the one laying. 3 times, I picked her up and put her in the previously unexplored nest boxes. She kept going back to the corner. Shortly after, my EE started dominating the corner and the RIR went up to corner of the roost and dropped an egg on the 2x4. Another 5 minutes past and the EE dropped her first egg - all while I was standing there. BTW - both are 23 weeks.
Now to get them to start using the nest boxes. I've blocked off the corner, am using fake eggs in the boxes and have put some treats up there so at least their starting to pay attention to the area.

Great looking eggs!I found a new egg on the floor of my coop this morning! (The one on the left) I think it's from my Lavender Orpington, Violet. The only other one who is not laying is my Silver Sebright, Becky, and I think this egg is too big to be from her! The darker colored egg on the right is from Cora, my Rhode Island Red. She's been laying for about 2 months now. So glad to have two layers in my little flock!
