My gals made me wait 24 weeks and 2 days... Then three decided to lay today! No idea who laid the brown eggs but the pretty blue came from my Easter Egger!

Awesome!! I have an EE lays the same gorgeous light blue egg. Looks like your avatar pic.

First Eggs from 2 ameracanas, one Buff Orp, one Barnvelder. Still waiting on two more holdouts a Barnvelder and Buff Orp. They started 12.16.12 at 8 months old.

First egg for this girl. I got this pic just seconds after it fell out...

So eggcited. And yes... I take way to many pics of them too. Eggs and birds so don't feel weird about it KristyMN....

Oh and since I had issues with safety... lost a lot of birds to dogs... wellll... my girls are inside a lot. I do put them back out for the day but it can lead to some funny photo ops.



Who wouldn't want a chicken as a Christmas gift? Though she is probably wondering why we would put up a tree she can't roost in.

I acually got a chicken for Christmas, a Splash Silkie named Holly!

This was our first egg from one of our Black Sex Link. She was still young, about 5 months old and was acting peculiar. She didn't seem to know what was going on and we thought she was sick. She ended up nesting in the ferns and laid this egg. I didn't have the nesting boxes yet, but bought that right away. We were so proud!!!

I have just found this thread and am so excited to share the joy's of Penelope's first 3 eggs. She laid at 24 weeks and 5 days and has laid 3 eggs in 4 days LOVING the Marans eggs colour
