I really don't know... one of five we rescued... someone said wyandotte. I just Googled sumatra's, but she doesn't look like any of those.

Yay - our first day with two eggs! I have 3 hens - Little girl (white leg/egger/?) has been laying little (now bigger!) peach colored eggs for over a month now. Today, there was a green egg in the nest box beside it.I think that one is from Lady Bluelegs (aracauna/egger/?mix she's white) as she is 25 weeks at least.
Lil Red ( RIR hen)should come along in a couple of weeks also.

Thought if share my tiny bantam egg, was her first, and my first from the flock. She has consistently laid an egg a day for 3 weeks now.

First Egg!! Woohoo! My chickens are approx 21 weeks. A little smaller than I thought, but guess that is normal. I have no clue who laid it, mixed flock.


Todays egg, actually the third one we've got (and number 2 was little like the first one), not sure if the same hen laid all three, but today's egg is much closer in size to a large store egg (the white one) :



Yay!!! So exciting!!! The only thing is that the girls have 12! nest boxes and while the first egg was in a box, the next two have been on the poop board. Thought maybe they didn't like the bedding in there (I put straw) so I put pine shavings in there today, hoping they will lay in the boxes now.
