Loving that nesting box! What size bucket is it?

They are five gallon buckets with the lids glued on and cut down to a size that allows the chickens to go in. My gf found the idea on pinterest

First egg from my duck! Looks blue for some reason but it's not blue at all. Light tan. The brown one is from my BR.

Sissy (my Red Sexlink) laid her first egg today!
No cackling, no song, no squatting - she just was going in and out of the nest, finally went in and laid it, then came out like nothing happened!

Here's a pic. It's sort of speckled.

Wowee! Gonna be a double yolker for sure! From my BR. The one in the middle is hers from yesterday & the white one is a store bought grade a large.

Sissy (my Red Sexlink) laid her first egg today!
No cackling, no song, no squatting - she just was going in and out of the nest, finally went in and laid it, then came out like nothing happened!

Here's a pic. It's sort of speckled.

Congratulations you will just love how well she lays. Red sex-links are great layers mine started laying 8 days ago and she has laid 7 eggs so far. Still waiting for today's egg.
