Our very first egg on Apr 14, 2016 between 5-7 pm during my son's t-ball practice. I am pretty sure one of my Plymouth Rock Rosy did it. She was showing signs all week! My son was excited to find it in the nesting box instead of the golf ball we placed (Rosy buried ithe golf ball with pine shavings). We are so proud

I have never seen an egg like I found in the nestbox this morning have you??

If you are referring to the little one that is what is commonly called a fairy egg, wind egg or even fart egg. They frequently lack yolks and can occur throughout a hens productive life

We got our first egg today!!!!! Sooooo excited!! I am so happy I could kiss the chickens! Haha. We bought our 7 Isa Browns a month ago at about 20 weeks of age and it has been the longest 4 weeks of my life waiting for this egg. I'm pretty sure I know which of the girls laid it. One of them has a beautiful bright red comb, and when I went into the coop she squatted. I had read about the squatting so as soon as I saw that I immediately started checking the whole coop....and there it was! Yay!
