One of my smaller bantams laid this one a few weeks ago but I had to post it! It's the smallest chicken egg I've ever gotten from my feather babies! It's as wide as a quarter and barely longer than one...fits in the bottom of a shot glass! Lol!

The ladies actually put the eggs in the 2 bottom nest boxes today

Another one from our second chicken, Christina Rossetti. Same spot as Cider. We found out she didn't like photos when she broke the egg. Luckily we saved it and put it in a bowl.

I feel so cheated! Finally got our first egg today, and this is it. The hen must have scratched all the shavings out before laying it. There were 3 inches in there! How do I prevent this???

Maybe use hay or straw and have a lip on your egg boxes.
