And you're right. My novel that I refuse to edit is fictional sci-fi, yet I spent HOURS on research trying to figure out how a massive ship could realistically clear the Earth's gravitational pull. Like dude, who cares? Just make it happen! I don't need to invent a new means of space propulsion for a story three people will read.

I do sci-fi and at this point it’s magic but like…Jedi exist…and no one questions how they can see the future or whatever, it’s just accepted. I called them space wizards and my friend got mad but like it’s TRUE…so

Byc articles is a goal I wanted to give myself but I can only seem to do it in bursts of hyperfixation on the topic

I hope you'll give it a shot! It's such good practice. You have to balance conveying an idea, while editing out any "fluff" that doesn't drive the topic forward. Very low stakes, AND you get minor feedback with reviews!

Some times I get caught up on the clothes (RD's fault), but then after getting bored of researching I decide I can do WHATEVER I LIKE.

The issue is I don't do things by halves I have a draft article...

It has like 6, or more, (short, i mostly wanted everything super organised by topic) pages... I lost count of how many extra links... it's a little intense and there's still a ton to do

What's the estimated read time for it? I did a behemoth 20-minute article last year, and I definitely worried people would clock out 2 minutes in (and they probably did ). What's your topic, if you don't mind sharing? Totally understand if you want to keep that to yourself while it's in progress, too!
